別名カジワラトシオ。90年代初頭にターンテーブルやテープを駆使した独自の即興パフォーマンスを始める。後にクリスチャン・マークレイと実験音楽トリオを結成、世界ツアーを敢行するなどした。現在は京都を拠点に「ANTIBODIES Collective」を主宰、ダンサーや美術家等と共に舞台上演と音楽に関わる探求を続けている。NYの老舗中古レコード店に創業スタッフとして13年間に渡り勤務しながら、音楽ジャーナリスト、レーベルやイベント•オーガナイザーとしても活動した。16年には中古アナログ専門店「ヒト族レコード」を開店、世界中から訪れる音楽マニアが情報を交わす場を提供。現在では同ビルの地下はDJバー、地上階はステージとして活用されており、京都の音楽やダンスのコミュニティーに開かれた空間となっている。

Also known as Kajiwara Toshio, he began his unique improvisational performances in the early 1990s, utilizing turntables and tapes. He later formed an experimental music trio with Christian Marclay, embarking on world tours and such. Presently based in Kyoto, he leads the “ANTIBODIES Collective,” engaging in explorations involving stage performances, music, alongside dancers, and visual artists.

While working for 13 years as a founding staff member at a renowned used record store in New York, he was active as a music journalist, label and event organizer. In 2016, he opened the specialty used analog record store “Hitozoku Records,” providing a space for music enthusiasts worldwide to exchange information. Today, the basement of the same building functions as a DJ bar, while the ground floor serves as a stage, creating an open space for Kyoto’s music and dance community.
