1990年代にニューヨークに渡り、ブルックリンの Funkyslice stdudio、EKSレコードプラント、Vinylmania Warehouse、Downtown304などで経験を積む。2010年からは、老舗レコードショップA1 Record Shopでダンス部門のバイヤーとして活躍。DJとしては、ニューヨークハウスやディスコを中心に、ジャンルにこだわらないスタイルでプレイ。ブルックリンの自宅地下で開催したアンダーグラウンドパーティー「シダールームパーティー」は超満員で、Scott Grooves、Mike Huckaby、Kai Alce、DJ Spun、GeologyなどのDJも迎えて盛況を博した。
プロデューサーとしては、GAMM、Hot Biscuit Recordings、stillove4music、Razor-N-Tape、JustWhatTheWorldNeeds、Nocturnal Hazard、Downtown304、Cut My Recordsなどのレーベルから多数の作品をリリースしており、自身のレーベル「dailysession」では40タイトル以上を発表し、Danny Krivits、Jovonn、Anthony Naples、Nico Lahs他、業界の著名アーティストが参加し、高い評価を得ている。
さらに、2008年からはdailysession.comを運営し、ローカルDJを中心に、様々なジャンルのDJミックスを紹介。これまでに約2000本のミックスを公開し、音楽ファンやDJコミュニティに大きな影響を与え続けている。

DJ Monchan moved to New York in the 1990s, gaining experience at legendary spots like Funkyslice Studio and Vinylmania Warehouse. Since 2010, he’s been a key buyer for the dance department at A1 Record Shop. Known for his genre-blending DJ sets focused on New York house and disco, he gained fame with his underground “Cedar Room Parties” in Brooklyn, featuring top DJs like Scott Grooves and Mike Huckaby.
As a producer, he’s released music on labels such as GAMM, Razor-N-Tape, and his own label, dailysession, with over 40 titles and contributions from renowned artists like Danny Krivits and Jovonn. Since 2008, he’s run dailysession.com, showcasing over 2,000 DJ mixes, influencing the global DJ community.

2000年代前半に渡米し、Fat BeatsやAcademy LPsでの経験を積んだ後、A1 Record ShopでSoul、Reggae、international などのセクションを担当。DJとしては、Gospel、Disco、Calypsoなどジャンルを問わず、ソウルフルな音楽を中心にプレイしている。ニューヨークでは、Nowadays、Good Room、Elsewhere、Whythe Hotel、Ace Hotel NYCなどでプレイし、Floating Points、J Rocc、Nightmares on Waxなどのオープニングも務めた。
2016年から７年間、ブルックリンのThe Lot Radioで月1回のレギュラー番組を担当し、NTS Radio、Worldwide FM、Crown Rulerなどでのミックスも好評を博した。
