Join Field Meridians for a special community kimjang, as part of our Slow Series, celebrating the gift of napa cabbage and the winter harvest. In this communal kimchi-making workshop, artist Indira Vaidy will discuss the history and process of making onggi, the traditional ceramic vessels used to store and ferment kimchi throughout the winter season. Then Kheedim Oh, founder of Mama O’s Premium Kimchi will lead the kimjang. Together, we’ll process the ingredients and prepare a special batch of kimchi to be ceremoniously buried on site. Then, each participant will be able to bring a small batch for fermentation at home.
