Slow Series is a space to wind down, learn a new skill or remember an old one in Good Chemistry, the laneway cafe at Ace Hotel Sydney.
Learning to make your own sauerkraut is easy and immensely satisfying. Condimental founder Cameron will guide you in this hands-on class of making kraut from start to finish, with tips on storage, serving and improvising with all sorts of other ingredients at home.
More and more everyday folks are tuning into their microbiomes and taking steps to improve their gut health, which is why these days you’ll notice more lacto-fermented products have begun lining the shelves at supermarkets and featuring on restaurant menus. Cultures around the world have been making sauerkraut for centuries; a simple way to preserve perishable vegetables with salt, but it has the potential to taste absolutely delicious too.
