SLOW SERIES: Curry J. Hackett Collage Salon & Architecture Walk

Join multimedia artist, educator and 2026 Artist-in-Residence  Curry J. Hackett and curator Field Meridians for a guided walk exploring Brooklyn’s built environment through the lens of collage. Together, guests will consider how architecture, landscape and everyday visual fragments shape our experience of place.

About The Artist

Curry J. Hackett is a multimedia artist and educator whose work explores Black relationships to land, media, and memory. A native of Farmville, Virginia, his practice speculates on the histories, and ecologies of the American South. His work has been featured in the “Making Home” Smithsonian Design Triennial, and will be featured in the 2026 Sharjah Architecture Triennial. Currently based in Flatbush, Brooklyn, Curry serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication at NYU Steinhardt, and was named a 2026 United States Artist fellow.
