今月のロビーギャラリー展示はMayumi Yamase氏の「Moving parts」。東京生まれ。幼少期をアメリカで過ごし、高校卒業と同時に渡英。ロンドン芸術大学、チェルシー・カレッジ・オブ・アーツ&デザインにてファインアート学科を専攻。東京を拠点に活動する彼女は抽象的なペインティングとソフトスカルプチャーを主に、相対するリアリティ(肉体)と目に見えないファンタジーや想像をコンセプトに作品を制作します。これまでに、東京、ロンドン、シンガポールでの展示、またコム・デ・ギャルソンのアート制作、NIKE とコラボレーション靴を発表するなど、様々な企業との取り組みも行っています。

Mayumi Yamase is an artist living and working in Tokyo. Her work whether a drawing, a
painting or in 3D-form is composed of colours and organic forms. How the space is
occupied with these colours and shapes helps to unfold unexpected forms organically
grown like a plants and living like organs and a unique dialogue between them.
Mayumi has exhibited pieces in London, Singapore and numerous times in throughout
Japan alongside commissioned work for Comme des Garçons.
