Join the pastry chef Natasha Pickowicz and visual artist Jordan Sondler for a joyful evening of watercolor painting on your own edible cookie canvases – in The Demo Kitchen, by Ace Hotel Brooklyn.

This isn’t your typical cookie decorating gathering — you’ll be getting instruction from an experienced chef as well as a contemporary visual artist and Pratt educator as you paint from real life or your imagination.

    • $100 tickets include ingredients for the workshop and cookies to take home, as well as a copy of Natasha Pickowicz’s debut cookbook More than Cake that includes plenty of cookie recipes and the decorating philosophy she’ll be speaking to in class.

Natasha Pickowicz is a creative force in the world of baking. Her pastries are uniquely delicious and surprising. She’s picked up three James Beard Award nominations for her time as a professional pastry chef. Her buzzy bake sales for Planned Parenthood and other nonprofits have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. Now she shares her recipes and baking know-how in a debut cookbook brimming with the energy, passion, joy, knowledge, and spirit of generosity that define her work.

More Than Cake: 100 Recipes Built for Pleasure and Community is her sumptuous cookbook, named a Best New Cookbook of Spring 2023 by Vanity Fair, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit and more

Jordan Sondler is a New York-based illustrator whose work includes digital, print, and hard goods, with a particular interest in pattern.
