#3: The Reggae Hip Hop Connection
In the next Hi-Fi Lounge, we focus on the 1990s, a defining era in New York’s Sound System Culture that saw the rise of Dancehall and its pivotal intersection with Hip Hop. Highlighting the evening is an exclusive interview and rare live performance by Chip Fu of the Fu-Schnickens, a key figure in this musical crossover. As usual, the evening is powered by Dub-Stuy’s minirig sound system for an immersive listening experience, complemented by the crew’s expertly curated selections.
