Children’s Museum of the Arts Presents: LITTLE ARTISTS — an exhibition by Justin Teodoro
- 3:01 am - 12:59 pm | Friday July 08, 2022
- Gallery | Ace Hotel Brooklyn
Children’s Museum of the Arts is pleased to present selected works from its Permanent Collection curated by artist, illustrator, and designer Justin Teodoro in the Gallery at エースホテル・ブルックリン. The installation will be on view to the public July 7 – September 29.
“I’ve always been struck by Keith Haring’s famous quote, “Children know something that most people have forgotten,” said Teodoro. When Children’s Museum of the Arts approached me about this special opportunity I knew I wanted to tap into that free spirit that’s present in each and every work in their permanent collection of over 2,000 artworks created by children over the last century.”
The presentation will include an intimate selection of artworks that aspires to encourage the public to rediscover their love and joy in making art without judgment. To celebrate the opening of the installation, CMA and Ace Hotel Brooklyn will be hosting a cocktail reception on July 7th from 6-8 pm

In 2021 CMA’s Executive Director Seth Cameron established The Look Make Show, the first digital commons specifically designed for child-artist-centered learning.

With this seminal exhibition, Tomorrow’s Garden, we glimpse through a keyhole. Behind the door is an imagined, futuristic world where the overuse of plastic melted into nature and created new species of bioplastic lifeforms. An enchanted oyster lies in the ocean with aquatic creatures and flora. A hanging abstract, bioplastic jellyfish illuminates an underwater world, a forest where hybrid amphibians and fairies tend to the changed planet. Caroline questions what the future can look like in a world where nature…
